Richard Hatch, Magician at Large!

Come see Richard Hatch, ‘deceptionist’, perform at the Douglas Library on Saturday, April 27th at 3:00 pm. Hatch, a professional magician and author, will be performing his children’s book Taro-San the Fisherman and the Weeping Willow Tree, based on an old Japanese folktale. Richard Hatch will be working with a tamasudare mat, turning and twisting the simple bamboo sticks into boats and hoops and rainbows as part of his act and read along. The performance will also be accompanied by Rosemary Hatch on the violin.
This show is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome to attend.
Copies of this bilingual children’s book will be available for sale at the event with a book signing to follow.

You can also attend “An Enchanting Evening of Magic and Music” at the JACC Tuesday, April 30th at 7:00 pm. The show features Richard Hatch, Rosemary Hatch on the violin and Jonathan Hatch on the piano in an ensemble performance of theatrical magic and classical music. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, and $5 for children. 15% discount for groups of four or more and 10% discounts available to JAHC members and active military.
