Wednesday, November 13th, 6:00pm, downtown library.

If we are what we eat, shouldn’t we know what we’re eating?  Many American consumers try to make healthy, informed dietary choices. We know to eat more vegetables and fewer fatty foods; we read labels and talk to our doctors. But what about food safety concerns outside of our own control? What are we consuming without our consent and how does it affect us?

Join Dr. Lora Vess, professor of sociology from UAS as she tries to answer these questions for us with a presentation and conversation.

If you ever have concerns over your food than this talk is for you. If you ever had questions about BPA, Prozac, and pesticides than this talk is for you.  If you NEVER had questions about BPA, Prozac, and pesticides, then this talk is for you.
