Douglas Library, Friday, April 11th, 5:00pm.

Come to the Douglas Library on Friday, April 11th at 5:00pm for our Second Friday Author Tea event. We have tea and treats, and talk about the month’s assigned author or theme. For April, we will be discussion veteran science fiction and fantasy author Lois McMaster Bujold.

Bujold is the author of over 25 books, including the incredibly popular (and wonderfully written!) Miles Vorkosigan universe/series, the Sharing Knife series, and the Chalion series. She is currently tied for most Hugo Awards (one of the premier awards for Science Fiction and Fantasy writing).  If you love (or like, or hate) her writing, come have a spirited discussion about characters, plots, motivations, and more at the library. If you’re looking for something new to read, come to check out what others think about her writing and books!

If you’ve never read science fiction or fantasy before and want to give it a try, I highly recommend starting with The Warrior’s Apprentice or the Curse of Chalion. You will not have a better introduction to the field than Lois McMaster Bujold.
